Dear Watchmen,
The Southern Baptist Convention and Presbyterian Church of America will hold their annual meetings in the coming week. In light of the July 26-28 REVOICE Conference promoting "LGBT+ Christianity" in the Church, the question is will these denominations condemn or condone this homosexual agenda to invade the churches? The SBC will be voting for a new president and the two candidates nominated for this office, J.D. Greear and Ken Hemphill, represent the liberal and conservative agendas respectively. Below are several articles on this epic battle for the direction of the SBC and PCA, the major issues at stake, and the positions of SBC candidates on homosexual inclusion in the Church.
The Southern Baptist Convention is the largest Protestant denomination in the US and, should the liberals in the SBC succeed in taking the presidency, the plague of liberal theology will surely spread to other denominations through The Gospel Coalition, the Lausanne Consultation and other interdenominational parachurch organizations. So whatever happens in the SBC this week will either bode well or for evil in all Protestant and Evangelical churches. The Gay Rights organizatons, such as the Human Rights Campaign and ARCUS, are funding and supplying LGBT+ activists for this undercover operation in the Church and they are not going to cease and desist after they seize control of the SBC and PCA.
The enemy is is not only at the gate of the Church, he has strategically positioned his emissaries in all denominations and it is only a matter of a short time before other denominational leaders embrace "LGBT+ Queer Christianity"-- the plus (+) referring to other "sexual minorities" (think about that). Therefore, may we earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints and earnestly pray for the Christian community worldwide which is very much at risk in these last days. "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer." I Peter 4:7
